The Subscriber understands that decisions relating to products to comply with regulations are based on documentation obtained in good faith from the supplier of the product and reviewed by OMRI employees. The Subscriber undertakes to indemnify OMRI in the event of losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Supplier of the Product. OMRI will promptly notify The Subscriber of any change in the status of an OMRI Listed Product. OMRI will provide the information that led to a change upon request, unless it is confidential. UsDA or CFIA accredited certifying subscribers have the option to sign an OMRI certifier contract. The contract serves to formally establish OMRI as an external provider of input examination services for the contract certifier. The contract includes an additional administration fee of $99.00 per subscription period. The contract can be signed at any time during the subscription period. However, the administration fee is always paid in full and is non-refundable. OMRI will only allow contract amendments for the signing of government agencies in accordance with applicable government regulations and other requirements. OMRI reserves the right to reject contract changes proposed by a subscriber.
Subscribers who wish to make changes to the agreement should request a Microsoft Word version of the file by sending an email to info@omri.org and highlight the proposed changes that are subject to OmRI approval. One of my ingredient suppliers is not willing to provide me with information about their formula or manufacturing process. How can I move forward? OMRI has a system in place to handle confidential information from third parties. An agreement with third parties allows an ingredient supplier to send proprietary information directly to OMRI. Only the third party and OMRI may view this information, and OMRI protects this information like all confidential information. The required forms can be downloaded via the Individual Forms and Checklist link in the applicant`s menu when you register on the website. OMRI must receive a fee for the confidentiality of third parties and the agreement concluded before the information of third parties is transmitted. In addition to the basic fees on the products, additional fees apply in the following situations. * Classes are part of the OMRI classification system, which groups products with similar usage attributes. Some examples of OMRI classes are culture fertilizers and soil improvers (FCs), feed ingredients (LF) and non-agricultural ingredients (PRs) for processing. More information about the courses can be found in the FAQ. If there is a change to a product currently on the OMRI list®, OMRI must review that change to verify continued compliance with organic standards. Any changes must be reported to the OMRI at least 60 days prior to their implementation date. Additional charges may apply for unreported changes detected by OMRI. Lists printed for OMRI review under USDA National Biological Program regulations and Canadian Organic Regime standards are referred to as the OMRI Generic Substances List©, the OMRI Product List, and the© OMRI Canada Product List©. OMRI provides each subscriber with free print lists based on the level they sign up for. OMRI Canada`s free product listings are provided at tier 1 for all subscribers. Business costs are based on the total gross annual turnover of the applicant company.
Total gross annual turnover includes sales of all products and services supplied or distributed by the applicant undertaking, and not only sales of a particular product or product range. Business fees are due with the company`s first product application and are renewed annually at a reduced rate. This fee is only charged once a year, regardless of the number of products listed by your company. A product fee is charged for each individual product name. If the same formulation is sold under different names, it is considered a refurbished product and requires a separate application. Different formulations sold under the same product name are considered “alternative formulations” and do not require separate requests. Product fees are based on the number and type of ingredients in the final product. Tables 2 and 3 below define the type of product and associated fees.
The subscriber bears all shipping and handling costs. The subscriber uses list order forms to order electronic or printed copies, including free subscription copies. Shipping costs are based on actual shipping costs by UPS or a comparable delivery service. OMRI`s valuation fees are staggered to meet the needs of companies of different sizes and business models. The cost of a product review depends on the company`s total gross sales for the last year and the type of product examined. dollars. Subscriber may distribute OMRI Publications to its employees, agents and certified entities for the duration of the OMRI Subscription. OMRI assumes no responsibility to serve the parties certified by the Subscriber. The distribution of electronic versions (PDF) of the OMRI Generic Materials List is limited to the prepaid number. * Contact OMRI for details, additional charges may apply. ** An alternative formulation is a variant of a product that is sold under the same product name, but is manufactured differently, contains different ingredients and/or contains the same ingredients in different proportions. In addition to the fees listed on this page, there are several less common fees that OMRI may charge for certain products. Various fees may be charged in unusual circumstances, including bank transfers, rebuttals and inspections “for cause”. A company or product change fee is charged for reviewing certain changes to products currently listed by OMRI.
