To help jurisdictions determine if their license plates meet these standards, AAMVA now offers the License Plate Verification Program (LPVP). The LPVP offers jurisdictions the opportunity to submit up to four license plates free of charge for comparison with the 2020 AAMVA License Plate Standard in each AAMVA fiscal year. AAMVA hosted a webinar on November 10, 2020 to engage NMVTIS stakeholders. This was the third meeting in the current set of commitments. Georgia is the 36th state government to sign a reciprocal driver`s license agreement with Taiwan, as many states across the country strengthen ties with this U.S. ally in the Indo-Pacific. On 30 September, the Department of Driver Services of Georgia (DDS) signed a mutual recognition agreement between Taiwan and the State of Georgia. The agreement enters into force immediately. Anyone with a driver`s license in the state of Georgia can now obtain an equivalent driver`s license in Taiwan and vice versa without having to take a written or road driving test.

Velva Crahan, a pioneer of U-Haul, has died. She was 91 years old. Velva joined the U-Haul family in 1963, shortly after her husband Pat Crahan was hired as president of the marketing company (MCP) of what was then the Oklahoma and Arkansas CSU. Velva ran the marketing company`s office because the person who ran the office got very sick. “Neither Velva nor I had planned for her to work for me,” Pat explained in 2006.
